Toronto based artists Teresa Aversa and Melissa Fisher will be splitting SlaM's gallery space right down the centre to showcase their independent bodies of work for FIFTY / FIFTY. Although separated by an invisible line, there is an interesting crossover in the artists' use of abstraction to subvert and renegotiate perceptions of reality. Stemming from autobiographical roots, their practices aim to broaden the viewer's experience using the languages of colour, shape and line.
